About Peed Myself …

I basically lay in bed all the time and recently, since I am done with vacation I seem to be doing it a lot more. I come home from work and throw my pajamas on, jump in bed w/ my Mac & puppy and just watch TiVo or movies. The most recent was tonight when I decided to pop in Dinner for Schmucks. I was very hesitant because I am a huge movie critic.

To my surprise this movie is actually super funny and the best part is that Steve Carell plays the perfect idiot. There are bits and pieces of the movie where I just start laughing hysterical because some of the things his character does are so bizarre.

I also think the plot is funny. I am not a mean person, but how hilarious would that be to have a complete dinner with a bunch of weird, idiotic people. Especially ones that collect dead rats and dress them up. hahaha

Workout Session

For Christmas my sisters b/f decided to buy us a pair of pink Everlast gloves for the new punching bag that he got on Black Friday. So what did we decide to do this week, that’s right workout. To be honest I have not workout for 6 months and I never thought punching the a bag would kill me. And in fact, it did just that. It whooped my butt.

The best part is that during White Elephant I choose a female shake-a-weight & it is actually coming to use. We go in stations and we are in each station for 2 minutes. Yes, I understand that it does not seem that intense, but the next day I am sore. What can I say, I am a girl.

I think it is funny that I like my accessories more than I like working out. & the fact that they are pink.

New Year’s Eve Attire

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and what could be better than a Masquerade party. I have been dying to wear a few new items I received for Christmas. My absolutely number one thing has to be my Gpumps.

The image above is the same assemble that I am wearing for the party & hopefully I will get the dip and foot pop kind of kiss that I always wanted as the ball drops.

I think the glitter pumps completely make the outfit, along with the glitterfied nails. OPI Burlesque collection is to die for and every girl should own a glittery nail polish. It is not a maybe it is a complete must. I paired the outrageous pumps with a simple black lace dress with ruched sleeves. If you have read previous posts you will know it is another one of my obsessions. (Ruched Sleeves) I also stayed away from big, gaudy earrings and necklaces. I did not want to take away from the lace or the shoes. I stuck to simple yet elegant teardrop stud diamonds.

Also, my venetian mask was perfect to complete the outfit. Not only do I feel like I belong on Gossip Girl, but I truly feel scandalous and mysterious when that plastic piece is on. Surely, I know that people know who I am, but for one measly second I feel as if they don’t.

Side-note: I still can not think of a New Years Resolution. I feel as if every time I set one it is either lame or I just forget about it. I want to make one that I stick with and it pulls through at the end.

My Christmas Spectacular Top 5

Yikes, I have been slacking a bit and I haven’t posted much in a while. The whole Holiday season is absolutely hectic and I have no time for anything. After days of shopping I am so exhausted that I throw on some sweatpants and hop into bed. I do not even have time to chit-chat with long-lost girlfriends. Christmas has kicked my butt this year. I seriously this year spent more money on others than I ever thought was possible (for me, at least).

I have decided to not only show you all my awesome activities, but let you preview why my life has been so chaotic. The easiest way for others to imagine this is for you to see my Christmas Spectacular Top 5!

Santa Helper Kits for My Little Boogers

1. I decided to make each one of my little boogers (My 1st grade students, there are 18 of them) a Santa’s Helper Kit. There are 3 different items. One is Santa’s Soup which consists of: 1 Candy Cane, 1 Package of Hot Coco, & a Cute Poem. Two is Reindeer Food which consists of: a Handful of Oatmeal & a Handful of Glitter w/ of course a Cute Poem. Third you have Extra Noses’ for Rudolph. This has a handful of RedHots & matched with a Cute Poem. (Just incase Rudolph’s nose runs away from him.) Trust me, they loved them!

2. I usually never send out cards because first of all, who clearly has time. Second off who in their right minds have all of their friends addresses? That’s correct, not this girl right here. I took some time out of my busy day sent photos of me and my Wubby-head from the Christmas before to Wal-Mart and got them printed in bulk. In the beginning I was not sure who I was going to send them to. Then I had to text the people who I thought would get a laugh out of the fact that I am posing by a Christmas Tree with the only guy in my life & he is wearing a Christmas T-Shirt. It was a success & I received many Christmas Cards in the mail.

My 12-Hr Gingerbread Village

3. This simple and easy to make Gingerbread Village took me 12-hours to make. Not only was it not easy, but it was a complete disaster. There was icing all over my table, clothes and floor. It took about 3 hours of the icing to dry to the walls before I could even start decorating. Lets just say I will never be making one of these again. I will be sticking to 1 Gingerbread house, instead of 5. It looks gorgeous though =]

Royal Icing, Glitter & Pearl Cookies

4. Home made sugar cookies with Pearls, Glitter and Royal Icing. I got this idea from many other bloggers and once I saw them start baking I had to take it into my own hands and try it out. I am not saying I am a Guru of baking, but I must admit I was not that bad. At the end of the baking session I have myself  around of applause & a pat on the back. It was a job well done. (Please check out the 2 gingerbread people with the hearts. They are exactly where they should be. LOL)

Christmas Eve Gift; Paul Frank Onesie

5. Last I would love to give a shout out to my Lovely Mother who surprised my sister and I with Monkey that we have been wanted since last Christmas. Story is … I could not find one for the life of me, so I started putting Facebook status asking people where I could find some. I needed help desperately. I received many options and at that point my mother shouted, “Please stop looking. You ruined the surprise.” Sorry Mom, I love you! The monkey’s on the toes was an added bonus.

December Wants … Yes, Please!

It is finally December and Florida has started to get chilly. Lets just say, “Hallelujah!” There are many items that I usually want on a daily basis and all year round, but at the moment these are the bits & pieces that are a must.

I have been dying for a yellow Peacoat since the Peacoat style became popular. Me being as picky as I am I just have not found one that forms to my body the way I want nor can I find one that the length is what I want.

The infinity scarves are perfect for every outfit and every season. For me I was pretty dumb when it came to how to tie a scarf or wrap it. The infinity scarves were made for people like me. All you have to do is wrap twice around the neck and you are good to go. Also, for someone who lives in Florida and it is only cold on the selected few days in December these scarves are simply just an accessory. (Not needed to keep the body warm.)

Glitter pumps are not just a necessity for December, but for New Year’s Eve. A simple black dress, stud earrings & GPumps and you will be the hottest thing since Kim Kardashian.

Sick Obsession

I must admit I LOVE kids and little babies. Every time I see one my heart seems to start smiling and I get a huge grin from ear to ear. I know it is a bit creepy, but I do not mind at all. Kids just seem to make me laugh and they are always so happy and funny.

I always have this epiphany when I am out shopping and I see a child in a stroller, ” If I ever saw a baby stranded or left alone in a stroller I would be the first one to take that baby home with me and never give him back.” Clearly, I would never steal a child or kidnap one, I am just stating if I ever saw someone abandon a child I would take them in with open arms.

Laughing and Smiling babies/children are my favorite kinds. Just the way they can go from being crabby or crying to laughing and screaming is amazing.

 

Have you ever heard the term, “Kids say the darnest things.” Well it is absolutely correct. They do not think twice before they say anything and nor do they care. They listen when adults talk and then they repeat what they heard. They are little people and when I watch them do crazy things it makes me die hysterical.

Fall = Perfect Time To BAKE!

Fall is my favorite season (if you can call it in season in Florida =) ).  Holidays, nice weather, football, family and friends and of course tons of amazing food!  Baking cookies and such is some of our favorites.  Ddbsays and I went to college about an hour apart and made it a point every year to get together and bake and cook for our friends!

This week was my first session of baking, and I’m hoping we can all get together over Thanksgiving weekend and bake together!

The outer ring is chocolate covered peanut butter crackers… Random mix, I know but they are amazing!! I used Ritz (whole wheat) crackers and stuffed them with peanut butter.  I then dipped them in melted chocolate and let them cool.  They are like crunchy Reese’s cups and are AMAZING!

The others are different types of chocolate covered pretzels.  Some plain, some have sprinkles and then I drizzled melted peanut butter on some of the other ones!  Hopefully they are a big hit at my work potluck tomorrow!!

It Is About Time …

Since Taylor Swift first came out I was always obsessed with her curls. When I was younger I always wanted curly hair, but as I grew up I realized how much it truly is to keep that kind of hair under control. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is chic and fabulous but I simply wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Even though I love Taylor’s hair I always wondered what it looked like straighten. I constantly search on Google images and just in magazines to see if she ever took a picture with straight hair.

About 2 days I finally saw what she looked like with straight hair and I absolutely love it. She looks as gorgeous as ever. I think she should do a variety of different hairstyles, now that she has done a shoot with straight hair.

Not only does she look like a superstar with her hair completely straight, she also looks a lot older.  Taylor Swift, 20, needs an older look now that she is dating Jake Gyllenhaal, 29. (Just Sayin’)

You all should also check out her new CD. I am a huge fan of her first and second album, Taylor Swift & Fearless. Her brand new album, Speak Now, is good but not my cup of tea.

UCF Knights

It isn’t very often that you find 4 friends as close as we are, who  go to different colleges.  The four of us spread our wings and went different ways for those important four years and I’m glad we did!  It made the time we did get to spend so much more special and it made our friendships that much stronger…

I went to University of Central Florida in Orlando, where I still reside.  Most people don’t know about UCF, but it is slowly gaining popularity and I am a VERY proud alumni!  UCF is currently the largest school in Florida AND SECOND LARGEST IN THE NATION by enrollment.  Our football team is also moving up the ranks.  We are currently first in our conference, C-USA, and 25th in the AP polls… Thats HUGE!  For a school that not many people have heard of, and a football team who hasn’t been around very long, we are making our voices heard!

Kellyeb and I are going to the game on Saturday and I couldn’t’ be more excited!  I fell in love with UCF the second I stepped foot on campus as a freshman in high school and am happy I get to relive it this weekend (and convince kellyeb’s little sister that its the school for her =) )
